Two installations set up in the Fucking Awesome mezzanine make the place feel more like MoMA PS1 than a store––a pile of T-shirts artfully situated in the corner under a crucifix sits across the section from a wall of TVs airing old news and, of course, skate footage. (Does art imitate our skater ex’s bedrooms or do our skater ex’s bedrooms imitate art?) The streetwear section features basics from Braindead x Carhartt, Goodfight and AFFIX. It’s basically the go-to spot for the high-end but low-key sweats you’ve always wanted.
Throughout the shop, unexpected utilitarian collabs (hi Junya Watanabe x Canada Goose), streetwear and bejeweled grandpa shoes are (still) in, and maximalism is going nowhere.
