To solidify this sentiment, next summer’s collection interprets the feminine and soft “Coquette Core” through EGONLAB’s genderfluid silhouettes. The collection echoes a quote from Pierre Marivaux: "Negligence is a simulated renunciation of coquetry, yet at the same time the masterpiece of the desire to please.”
At the heart of the creative process lies the concept of liminal spaces — imaginary infinite surreal places that emerged within digital communities in the early 2000s. These monochrome labyrinths are often associated with a similar sense of anxious imposed wandering, but through EGONLAB, they become a canvas void of time or space where perceptual transformation unfolds, where past and future fuse to create the present.
The result is a collection of soft spoken colors and free-flowing forms within bold proportions and considered functionality. The silk and satin features are adjacent to sleepwear, which becomes midnight wear by the hands of EGONLAB. The most vital hour, where tomorrow is still today and possibility eagerly waits to be unleashed.
Earlier this Spring, Converse and Noah released their first collaborative Chuck 70 capsule collection. This time around, the two come together to hone in on a sport culture they contribute to just as much as they define the aesthetic: skating. Converse funded the fully skateable bowl that lives in Noah's Los Angeles storefront, reinventing the retail space into a gathering point for the local scene. When there's a true passion for the sport, the result is a product built with intention.
The Louie Lopez 2 features a green full-grain suede upper for durability, a perforated Converse Chevron along the sides, and embossed Noah branding on a white tongue. With borrowed lines from Converse's track, cleat, and tennis silhouettes, the foundation for movement remains preserved. Yet, the quiet branding and bold color lets the shoe stand out in the most humble and sophisticated way.
Some of the campaign images for this collaboration are of you three posing like you’re taking punk-esque yearbook photos. Do you have any horrendous or amazing yearbook photo memories?
Honestly, they all look amazing to me now because it’s amazing that we survived those experiences, haha. A yearbook photo is way higher pressure than any photoshoot.
What are the commonalities between MUNA’s identity and UGG’s?
Probably being cute as hell and often traveling in packs.
You’ve mentioned that you feel like the art you’re creating is way more interesting than how you look, which I think is admirable in a creative industry that’s become impacted by superficial criteria for success. But, what role does fashion play in your artistic expression?
I often need to be dressed kind of in character for a song I am working on. It’s a way to inhabit the creative spirit of whatever era you are in.
As a proudly queer band collaborating on a campaign geared toward young people, what advice would you give on the practice of self-expression in personal or social settings?
There’s no right way, go at your pace. Trust your gut about who is safe to open up to and who may not be. Having fun with it is always cooler than being cool.

Being onstage playing our music.
Let’s talk about your high school selves. What’s changed for you internally since then? What’s thankfully stayed the same?
I was really full of feelings and devoid of almost any awareness around them and compassion for them, haha. I’m still very full of feelings but thankfully have more of the latter now.
Your music has already tackled themes like obsession, rebellion, and desire with tracks like “Wannabeher” and “Big Stick.” What might you want to explore next?
Smaller things.
Where are you wearing your UGGs this fall? How are you styling them?
We’re wearing our UGGs on our tour! So that means on the bus, in the venues, and on our little walks to get coffee in whatever city we happen to be in.
