Floyd's World: Minneapolis Protest Murals

In May of 2020, the country broke out in protest on behalf of George Floyd, Breona Taylor, and other victims of police brutality. This time stood as the peak of the BLM movement, and the surrounding Minneapolis community came together to create these murals of the many people affected by police brutality. Surrounded by art pieces, the Minneapolis Protest Murals stand tall, exhibiting images of the late George Floyd. Leesa Kelly and Noah Khoshbin partnered with House of Trees to ensure a safe space for these images. The founder of Memorialize the Movement, Leesa, created this organization to uplift BIPOC artists. MTM aims to hold government officials accountable for their actions. In hopes of keeping an archival space for each art piece, they have collected over 800 boards over the following months.
