The Most Popular Porsche in Paris

If you weren't in attendance this Paris Fashion Week, then you might've missed more than just extravagant shows being assembled for a catwalk. And if you were in Paris, you might've seen an electric green Porsche plastered over everyone's Instagram story. What was once a very rare sports car, is all too familiar to most. And that's a good thing, because the appeal and wonder have backing — creative director behind L'Art De Automobile, Arthur Kar, keeps no secret when it comes to his affinity for rare sportscars. Making the collaboration with Porsche all too fitting.

“L'Art De L'Automobile” personifies the essence of every stylish man's dreams — the kinship between vehicles and fashion. This particular collaboration features a uniquely transformed Porsche 968. The art car serves as a testimony for Kar's passion towards altering the perception of the automotive world, one where art also lives within it. The trans-ideation starts with the water-cooled front-engined, rear-driving Porsche.

And custom iteration goes far with this automobile, the vehicle is powered by a three-liter four-cylinder motor, and subjects itself to a grand tourer designed for high speed and long-distance driving, due to a combination of performance and luxury attributes. Making the substitute a foundation for an "art car" rather than the natural feeling for a sportscar.

And its arrival during Paris Fashion Week, isn't random, the collaboration extends to a line of garments and car accessories that fuses both of the brand's essences perfectly. A structured sports jackets that mirror the color palette of the vehicle, a Byredo candle, a scented car tree, and more are just some of what's to come from this collab.

In the wake of significant challenges including the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war which has heavily impacted production and logistics, Syndicate continues to innovate by integrating themes of survival, resilience, and the complex emotions involved in modern relationships. The collection features bold, thematic elements such as textual prints derived from real-life break-up phrases embodying the irony and emotional depth of contemporary dating narratives.

Some of the collection prints were created in collaboration with Magalie Heroux — a London-based graphic designer, the "Dating Olympics" collection employs a mix of early 2000s aesthetics with simple, impactful fonts and ironic slogans, capturing a nostalgic yet fresh vibe. The use of heat-reactive techniques further enriches the tactile experience, emphasising the warmth and connection that are essential to human interaction.
