Andrew Curwen Autumn/Winter 2026
This attention to theme is not an isolated undertaking, but an extension of the notions the brand has already set in place. Andrew Curwen was built on the idea that fashion should exist for its own sake, rather than for the sake of appeasing the masses. It should be bold and boundary-pushing. As such, the brand gravitates toward daring silhouettes and pieces that portray internal narratives. Aesthetically, they are committed to a tale of “romantic violence,” a style that has such an unrelenting focus on the body and the power the body wields, that it inevitably falls into a mythic space.
For the Autumn-Winter 2026 season, Andrew Curwen allows wool to come to the forefront, with attention to liveliness and strength. Complementary materials include silk tulle, taffeta, and kid skin, adding dimension and leveling out the strength with a sense of softness. The fabrics are woven together in the form of corsets that focus on details. On this style, Curwen says, “My ongoing fascination with re-proportioning the human form continues: shoulders sharpen and peak, waists draw inward, and the bustle reemerges, an echo pulled forward from 1887.”
This collection was created with attention to “nocturnal states of thought,” an homage to those who step into their true selves when the sun goes down, and the truth and emotion that the night is able to bring to the surface. The clothing is a narrative device, telling the inner stories of the soul wandering the midnight sidewalk, or the soul stepping into the illuminating world of night raves. These characters built into the collection’s story have hours and hours ahead of them for any twists and turns imaginable, while the rest of the world sleeps quietly onward.
