Balenciaga Celebrates Pride 2021

“I'm gay. I grew up in a society where I couldn't have worn that, and there are places in the world that you cannot today." Balenciaga's creative director Demna Gvasalia told Vogue in an interview about the collection. "It's important to push through against homophobia. I'm not someone who goes out in the street and shouts. But this is the political fashion activism I can do." He adds.

15% of the proceeds from the Balenciaga Pride 2021 Capsule will be donated to The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth.

The Pride 2021 Capsule Collection is available online now and in select Balenciaga stores.
