If you need help trying to find the perfect gift this holiday season, consider taking a trip to Gift Shop at 22 Ludlow. Home to everything you need and more, this one-stop shop is filled with both thrifted finds and donated goods such as books, jewlery, clothing and a plethora of other sundry items all sold for fairly low prices.

Celebrated on opening night by a store-front set up featuring Sam Puglia's Dawn's Thrift Store and office Issue 11 featured artist, Helen With the Gold Teeth, we knew this from its fruition that this shop was onto something. So stop by and find your hidden gem, your bound to find one in this treasure trove.

Oh, and nervous about that guilty feeling that comes along with this consumeristic season? Don't be. The Gift Shop pop-up proudly donates 80% of the proceeds straight to Destination Tomorrow, an LGBTQ+ youth center in the Bronx. Knowing that $1 from each purchase goes worthy cause will make this shopping experience a hell of a lot better.

Gabbriette Wants Only The Dirtiest Martinis

You’ve just come back from the bar. The floor swirls beneath you, and your lips look bee-stung. You’ve been talking with someone all night, taking short, deep breaths and feeling your shirt get tight. Outside, you kissed and felt the asphalt drop out from beneath you. You’ve gone home together, groping the walls of your apartment hall to keep from stumbling. The air snaps between the two of you, and you offer a coffee to sober up before going to bed. Once there, a cacophony of whispered asks and palms pressed together.

That’s the night that comes to mind when you hear the phrase "Dirty Hour." Or at least one of them. Distill that evening into one glass, and you get Gabbriette’s new collaboration with Belvedere vodka, a rye vodka infused with roasted coffee beans.

Naturally, Gabbriette’s favorite use of the vodka is in a dirty espresso martini. One can imagine sharing stories of exploits with friends through the din of a crowded bar, while sipping from a long-stemmed glass. Ripped jeans with stilettos, and rushing off to the next place.

Put into an affogato, the scene changes. It’s a blistering day in Luca, Italy, and after biking the surrounding wall of the city, you’ve stopped for something sweet. Velvety vanilla ice cream coats the palate, but the bitterness of the coffee wakes you back up. You realize that you’ve sweated through your shirt, so why not take it off? There's a bikini underneath anyways, and you’ll take a dip soon.

Casa Dean, Where You Want to Listen

Throw a stone in any major city these days, and you’ll hit a couple of Hi-Fi listening bars. Auditory connoisseurship is on the rise, from an increase in vinyl sales to 8-D speaker technology. Who can blame us? The world is so noisy that finding ways to hear things clearly is like finding a four-leaf clover in a field of feverfew.

Grammy-winning producer Swizz Beatz has the same idea. He’s teamed up with the furniture company CB2 to bring Hi-Fi listening into your home, with an exclusive collection titled Casa Dean. This collection is centered around pieces of furniture to pair with a variety of listening experiences. A boutique console designed with turntables and record collections in mind is a standout among the pieces, made with swirling stained wood that is reminiscent of the best parts of ‘70s interior design.

The red leather room divider and ‘Brainstorm Green’ suede listening chair also charm; together they conjure up a scene of an impromptu dance party at a Manhattan loft, perhaps a get-together before leaving for the Paradise Garage or Studio 54. Good design centers on human activity, and listening to your favorite songs transcends time, space, and living rooms. A gorgeous cabinet may even inspire a record-collecting hobby, or just an excuse to throw a party. The collection, which was released on October 15th, is available on the CB2 website. Floyd Is Giving Travel a Little More Personality

Inspired by the color, energy, and counterculture of 1970s California skateboarding, Floyd is rethinking what luggage can look like.

There’s something about a sea of black suitcases circling an airport baggage carousel that feels a little too familiar. Founded in 2019, Floyd is looking to change that, bringing a little more personality to the otherwise predictable world of travel. Drawing on the sun-soaked streets and skate culture of 1970s California, the brand approaches luggage with a sense of individuality, pairing streamlined cases with vibrant colors and skateboard-inspired wheels.

The inspiration runs deeper than aesthetics. Floyd’s founders, Bernd Georgi and Horst Kern, grew up skateboarding in Germany, drawn to the free-spirited lifestyle of California through American skate magazines and imagery. After decades working in fashion and luggage production, the pair returned to those early influences to create a brand that brings the same rebellious energy to modern travel. The result is a collection that feels less like traditional luggage and more like an extension of personal style.

At the center of Floyd’s design language is its signature wheel system, borrowing from the polyurethane wheels that helped reshape skateboarding in the ’70s. Paired with durable hard shells and a bold palette of colors, the details give each case a distinctive look without losing sight of its purpose. It’s a practical approach to design that doesn’t sacrifice character for function.
