The fabrics and materials used within the collection tell their own history and spawn a focal point on antiques and objects that fell between the cracks. Upcycled jersey cloths, beads passed down from Chinese elders, Mexican-inspired patchwork, and other Latin-American quirks are metamorphosed into tailored lace jackets, asymmetric ruffle skirts, or floral patterned crochet twin sets. Even though ZIMO represents heritage, the namesake founder carries off a modern silhouette by accentuating androgynous cuts and asymmetric pieces.

The brand's SS23 showing was set up as a documentary to transmit the viewpoint of Asians leaving their home country supported by other sorts of installations.
