The show then begins with a flash of red light along with the word ‘HOPE’ written boldly across, a forthcoming of a recurring metaphor for what this collection represents. Throughout the presentation, models and members of BTS can be seen adorning intricately layered garments with an overarching nod to the pilot who sparked it off.
On the go streetwear interlaced with a luxurious effortlessness are saturated in a bright green color that contrasts the cold metal bunker that is the centerfold of the story. The collection consists of coats, skirts, suitcases, formal garments, and more abstract pieces. Mixed into the complimentary coloring is a futuristic chrome that amplifies the reality of the archetypical society that we’ve been accustomed to.
Each person makes their way through the bunker signaling the next departure with an intense staredown.
Towards the end of the show, an elevator shaft moves its way up to the top of the enclosure, each floor telling its own story of crafted imagery within each garment. A curiosity then lingers as a blimp with the word ‘Hope’ written across it flies above at just a near distance signaling that hope is always around for a better tomorrow.
