Monochromatic With DET BLEV SENT

Unveiling their first collection, ready-to-wear brand DE T BLEV SENT confronts anti-establishment and flawed hierachy through the inspirations of the rawness of youth, and beauty resonated in fragility and insecurity. The Fall/Winter 2023 collection takes vision from Mathieu Kassovitz's 1995 La Haine.

The film, as well as the collection, represent socioeconomic divide and racial discrimination. DET BLEV SENT wants to break the stereotypes behind these issues by creating dualities in each look: high-end versus streetwear and pragmatic versus sartorial materials. By fusing these concepts, DET BLEV SENT aims to reimagine various cultures, classes and races by creating harmony inside and outside of the collection.

The brand aims to create conversations around the nostalgic, sentimental lust for youth deprivation in the '90s, and the raw, unfiltered youth energy portrayed in music, modernism and artistic movements. A twist of rebellion gives DET BLEV SENT its edge and is individualized through the monochromatic motif this winter.

DET BLEV SENT rematerialized a vintage windbreaker jacket with lambskin and calf hair worn by Vincent Cassel from La Haine. Denim with Italian baby mohair fuses nobility and function. The combination of nylon and baby mohair wool emotes both human-made and natural fabrications. Shirts in the collection have a detachable hoodie to show both formal and informal attitudes, which are juxtaposed with oversized, rounded silhouettes within the garments. Escaping the Glass Cage
