No Rules with Rihanna
Featuring some of our favorite fashion badasses, Jazelle, LuLu and Gabbriette, the campaign that accompanies the brand's highly-anticipated debut collection truly takes it all to another next level. But, to be fair, we wouldn't expect anything less from Rihanna, who has demonstrated an undying commitment to changing the game across more than a few creative fields— and has become one of the foremost figures in finding new ways to incorporate inclusivity in beauty, music, the arts, and fashion industries. With an emphasis on empowering body diversity, her first foray into the lingerie world offers a beautiful bounty of sizes, from 32A to 44DD, someting which has, up until now, been missing from that particular category of clothing.
Savage X Fenty is an important challenge for our cultural sensibility— questioning the ideas of which "type" of body is, and has been, allowed to feel sexy, and what that means to us as individuals, and as a community at large. And what's even more impressive is how beautiful each piece in itself is— not only do these designs make a powerful political statement, but they do let this not compromise their style, or their approachability. Using four style archetypes, with an array of attitudes from ferociously-femme, to casual and everyday, to downright dirty— though to tie them all together, the collection campaign introduces, “The Savages”, the brand's beloved muses, who have been shot by Tyrone Lebon.
The line is not only diverse in its sizes, but its range of designs as well. There are pastels and neon pinks, cotton and lace – you name it. Whether you're into the lightweight T-shirt bras of On The Reg, or are feeling frisky with the crotchless panties and cupless bras of Black Widow. There really is something here for everyone. With a whopping 90 styles, you are sure to find something that brings out the savage in you.
