So what exactly happened when Telfar Clemens met Jeremy O. Harris? Well, last season it was Telfar F/W '19 performance titled "Country" at Irving Plaza; this season it’s the Slave Play Broadway debut afterparty, set in the Paradise Club at the Edition Hotel in Times Square. Are you ready, girls? It’s time to get educated.

Slave Play, written by Yale graduate Jeremy O. Harris, premiered on stage almost one year ago. As alluded to in the title, the script depicts an uncomfortable sexual relationship between black slaves in the American south, and their white plantation owner. Staging satirical moments in between, which only increases the racial tension, and gendered power imbalance, Slave Play itself is a double entendre.

Telfar (aka Telfar Global) is a unisex brand, not made for you, but for everyone, so it was hardly a surprise when the blooming brand collaborated with the rising playwright. All in all, last night’s party proved to be sweepingly successful, considering it was attended by Timothée Chalamet, Hari Nef, and Lily-Rose Depp. So, when’s the next party?

Uyi Drops Roadman Anthem 'Sticky One Styll'

If you've been online lately, chances are you've seen Uyi in full roadman mode. Inspired by the U.K. cult hit show Top Boy, Uyi has taken the character from screen to real life — and now he’s bringing it to his latest music drop, ‘Sticky One Styll’.

For the past month or so, Uyi's been teasing the single to his followers, and the response had been unmatched. The whole concept? Uyi’s pointing out how British actors keep crossing the pond and taking roles in Hollywood. Now, he wants to reverse it. As an American, he's setting his sights on the U.K., making his own mark on their turf. That’s where ‘Sticky One Styll’ comes in — part music video, part performance art, part social commentary.

The video, dropping in full today, is pure Uyi — he’s behind the direction, the music, the writing, the whole thing. It’s chaotic, smart, and super self-aware. And if you’re wondering how far he’s taking the character? Let’s just say he showed up to a Lacoste event in roadman attire and fully in character. The Cut even named him Best Dressed of the Week. Not bad for a full tracksuit look.

Head to toe in Nike Tech, Uyi has got the UK persona down to a science, with some in the comments even speculating that he is really a Brit posing as an American. Perhaps they’re right?
