On Point2 Kick Off
The memorable night curated by interdisciplinary creatives consisted of performances, explorative installations, speeches, and food galore. The space that overlooked the Highline displayed its' passion and pace towards the marathon. The sensory art installation, curated by Lucy Hardcastle, was a dreamy oasis that acted as the euphoric intermission that's experienced in a marathon during the ".2" in a 26.2 mile. As you walked along the mirrored floors, each room represented something different — The first was themed "ascent," the 2nd was named "altitude," and the third was titled "above."
The performances served as the main event of the night. JWords and KeiyaA graced us with their raw and angelic presence, and warmed up the crowd for the closer — Moses. The night concluded with a warm and intimate session from the coveted artist, filling the experimental space with the most immaculate vibes.
There will be a lot more than running taking place this marathon season following the Point 2 programming. After the kick off and leading up to the New York City Marathon this weekend, On is producing a sensory art installation that was curated by Lucy Hardcastle, performance art, and live music will be shown in partnership with MoMA PS1. This will also include whole-body health workshops and guest speakers to the Point2 space.
