Tombogo Steps “Outside the Box” for FW22

While NYFW generally means rushing across Manhattan from one fleeting runway show to the next, Tombogo provided a much-needed respite from the scramble with their unique holographic Fall/Winter presentation and lively launch event for the collection which accompanied it. The Oakland-based label led by designer Tommy Bogo reimagined what a fashion show can be by showcasing 10 meticulous gender-neutral looks through a high-tech holographic device from PORTL. In what was definitely the among most intriguing formats we’ve seen among designers this season, Bogo invited his audience to think outside the box by, essentially, looking inside one.

The 10-look presentation also marked the launch of Tombogo’s exciting new collaboration with American footwear brand Saucony. The collaboration features a versatile silhouette that can transform from a bulky sneaker shell to a sleek inner boot. Of the collection, Bogo explains, “my approach has always been about multifunctional clothing. I like to add more and more to the norm. For this collection I continued in my design process, really exploring the best kind of materials that not only offer technical and performance properties, but that also feel great while being worn.” With a beautiful mix of everyday wearables to standout statement-pieces, Tombogo’s newest collection and peculiar presentation cements the brand’s place as a mainstay on the NYFW roster.

LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν Continues Bruce Lee’s Legacy Through New Collaboration

LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν has unveiled a collaboration with Bruce Lee Enterprises, released in conjunction with AAPI Heritage Month and the brand’s tenth collection, All Bets Are Off. Long positioned as a foundational influence for founder Hung La, Bruce Lee’s image, philosophy, and self-determined approach to identity have remained embedded within the brand since its inception. Drawing from Lee’s athletic uniforms, 1970s tailoring, and iconic film imagery, the collection merges LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν’s darker visual language with the unmistakable style of the martial arts legend. Key pieces include a reworked version of Lee’s yellow jumpsuit, graphic ringer tees, and accessories informed by archival film materials.

Rather than recreating Bruce Lee through casting, the campaign works directly with his original image archive, using AI-assisted digital manipulation and retouching to place the collection onto Lee himself, collapsing past and present into a new visual interpretation. What emerges is less a retrospective than a continuation, positioning Bruce Lee not simply as inspiration, but as an enduring framework for self-definition, resistance, and image-making within the world of LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν.
