Kenzo's Limited Edition Spring-Summer 2022 Alert

There is a little space in your closet for Kenzo's new limited-edition collection. Produced by Nigo, the newest artistic director who just showed his first collection in Paris last season follows up with this capsule collection. Nigo has been reimagining his designs— the graphics of this capsule showcases an exemplification for twisting archetypes.

As precursors to a reinvigorated KENZO, the Spring-Summer 2022 capsule collections embody the philosophy at the root of Nigo’s practice at the Maison: real wardrobe for the future, tied to the wisdom of the past. This capsule pays homage to Kenzo Takada, the founder of KENZO, and as each capsule comes and goes— the meaning will never fade, same as Takada's legacy. Throughout the drop, Nigo expands on the forms and functions of motifs such as remembrance and rejuvenation, the new artistic director draws on the Japanese sensibility of flora and fauna. We can only applaud him for his contribution to the withstanding brand and vision.

Trivia question: what is one of the signature staples for KENZO? Three seconds— three, two, one, it's the tiger graphic. This emblem for KENZO emerges again but takes its form in a more cartoonish version showing itself through two five-piece wardrobes surrounded by leaves. In this collection, one can expect to see the black oversized molleton hoodie along with sweatshirts and t-shirts representing style through relaxation. And the best part— the collection is available now on KENZO and select stores.

Levi’s Goes UNDERCOVER

The collection includes nine pieces that draw inspiration from both brands’ rich histories, with reimagined jeans, T-shirts, and trucker jackets which reference UNDERCOVER’s “Exchange” program from its 1998 AW collection and feature embroidered zigzag patterns inspired by their 2003 archives. The Levi’s x UNDERCOVER collection will be available worldwide on January 18th, through Levi.com, the Levi’s App, select Levi’s stores, undercoverism.com, and select UNDERCOVER locations.
