Louis Vuitton Explores Adolescence in FW22

Louis Vuitton is a classic. The Parisian label is a mainstay of Fashion Week, not to mention a luxury house with some of the richest and oldest history among all of its peers. All this is why it’s particularly exciting to see LV’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, depart from convention and explore new aesthetic realms in his flagship womenswear collection for the house. In their Fall Winter 2022 presentation at Paris Fashion Week, Louis Vuitton took over Musée D’Orsay for what the collection notes call an “excursion into a perceptible, fleeting, and decisive moment,” where fashion expresses “the impermanence and beautiful volatility of adolescence.”

Models donned playful but polished looks that leaned into boyish qualities. Oversized, boxier shapes, tied together with thoughtful details, patterns, and even screen-printed motifs dominated the RTW. Wide-legged pants and dresses layered with turtlenecks gave the impression of a tomboy fantasy, only to be confirmed by comically oversized polos later in the collection. The silhouettes are frankly a much-welcome respite from what seems to be a homogenized hyper-femininity in most of the fashion world, with many other labels increasingly favoring skin-tight, low-rise, and translucent looks. Meanwhile, accessories were far from overlooked, with an array of inventive new handbags and reimagined versions of classics like the Noé Bucket and Carryalls.

LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν Continues Bruce Lee’s Legacy Through New Collaboration

LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν has unveiled a collaboration with Bruce Lee Enterprises, released in conjunction with AAPI Heritage Month and the brand’s tenth collection, All Bets Are Off. Long positioned as a foundational influence for founder Hung La, Bruce Lee’s image, philosophy, and self-determined approach to identity have remained embedded within the brand since its inception. Drawing from Lee’s athletic uniforms, 1970s tailoring, and iconic film imagery, the collection merges LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν’s darker visual language with the unmistakable style of the martial arts legend. Key pieces include a reworked version of Lee’s yellow jumpsuit, graphic ringer tees, and accessories informed by archival film materials.

Rather than recreating Bruce Lee through casting, the campaign works directly with his original image archive, using AI-assisted digital manipulation and retouching to place the collection onto Lee himself, collapsing past and present into a new visual interpretation. What emerges is less a retrospective than a continuation, positioning Bruce Lee not simply as inspiration, but as an enduring framework for self-definition, resistance, and image-making within the world of LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν.

The Louis Vuitton 2026 Resort Collection takes on the spirit of summer holiday.
