Everything, Everywhere for Acne Studios Men's SS24
Acne Studios becomes their own sightseer, using each look to sample different styles and moods — show-all cheeky thigh highs and lettered short-shorts walk the same runway as mysterious sweeping leather trenches and skirts. Futuristic pink iridescent fabrics with heroic shoulder pads share space with patchwork-style graphic pants that call on the moment that punk was first introduced to the runway. Even the classic blue jean undergoes its own Acne-style transformation, with textures that mimic armored motor cross trousers. But, despite the variety in each of the looks, dynamic graphics are a common denominator throughout all the pieces. In collaboration with Swedish ceramist and glass artist Per B. Sundberg, brightly colored graphics adorned with rhinestones mimic everything from stained-glass, to Venitian stars, Italian marble, and doodles on postcards. And with fabrics with crinkled textures, the pieces feel as if they’ve already been with you for a summer on the road.
