Satisfy's HeatCrush: Immersion Through Evaporation

On June 12th, SATISFY Running launched HeatCrush, their latest innovation in fabric technology. The new performance mesh is a micro-jersey, coming straight from development in Japan, and is designed to react to moisture, acting to directly cool the body through enhanced airflow as it gets warmer. Through the intensive testing process, it was found that HeatCrush could lower body temperature by 8°C within only 30 minutes. The initial launch is supported by seven products: Base Layer, T-Shirt, Muscle Tee, 8" Desert Shorts, Sleeves, Neck Cooler, and Bandana.

Alongside the product release, SATISFY have released a short film, also titled HeatCrush (which can be seen below). Over 15 uninterrupted minutes, the video keeps you waiting; for much of its runtime, nothing happens. All you can do is enjoy the sun-washed asphalt of the road and anticipate the eventual appearance of a runner. Patience is rewarded as you see a speck in the distance, slowly moving towards the camera.

Converse x Collina Strada

If self-expression has no limits, how can you be the best version of yourself? Turn the everyday into extraordinary. Designer Hillary Taymour seeks this out in the first collaborative collection between Converse and Collina Strada. It shares their belief that creativity is a needed catalyst for self-expression. The merge readapts four Converse silhouettes to fit into the magical world of Collina Strada in a shoe line that is a complete burst of joy, intent, and personality.

The laces are lined with colorful gummy-looking beads and silver charms (which of course match Collinda Strada necklace and earrings), acting as talismans for the wearer. Set any intention on these charms — luck, power, magic — and reflect it in each step you take. With each breath you take, bite you take, and step you take. In, out, chew, swallow, left, right. Life has a rhythm to it but so do you. Dance to it, and make sure you have the right shoe for it.

With cult-status core pieces, the plaid shoes mutate into a unique capsule collection. New territory of plaid/floral lace and gem embellishments are unlocked. The sneaker tongue is stretched out to fold over the front. The eyelets resemble stars. The colorful palette encapsulates the lovely seasonal time, knowing that only the sunshine can bring matching flowers that will line the walk taken. Wear them with what you have or match with your Collinda Strada wardrobe, but either way it will be a look remembered by passersby.

PUMA AND SALEHE BEMBURY TURN DTLA INTO A SOUND SYSTEM

PUMA and Salehe Bembury took over The Row DTLA this week, transforming the historic venue into a layered, sensory preview of their TRVL WEAR collection, the second chapter of PUMA's football rollout ahead of this summer's tournament. After dropping kits for 11 national federations in March, the brand is shifting gears toward something more street, more sound driven, more lifestyle than pitch.

The activation read less like a product launch and more like a world building exercise. Guests moved through interactive environments built around the collection's design language, with the night's centerpiece being "Hidden Frequencies," a reveal of the Velum 1 Akita's UV-reactive detailing, glowing under blacklight for a crowd that included Bembury himself and Ghanaian rapper and model Black Sherif.

Favela Worldwide handled the soundtrack, with DJs D33J, Siobhan Bell, 2 D0GS, Brian Vidal, and Sophie Fray rotating through sets that mirrored the collection's global remix of references. Tactile installations let attendees engage with the craftsmanship directly, reinforcing the throughline: football as culture, not just competition.

The collection itself reworks PUMA archives through Bembury's lens, the PUMA KING tracksuit reimagined, alongside jerseys, shorts, goalkeeper kits, and travel wear built for movement between cities and time zones. The Velum 1 marks the sneaker's debut, already on the feet of Côte d'Ivoire's national team ahead of the tournament.
