Pheobe English at LMFW

Phoebe English is a major force to be reckoned with when it comes to the world of menswear. The young designer may appear dainty or delicate by way of her own undeniable beauty— but being pretty has not compromised how far she’s pushed her career in an astoundingly short period of time.

As one of the 2015 Forbes 30-under-30, with a recent BFC Fashion Trust Grant and the 2017 Newgen Men title under her belt— not to ignore the fact that she formerly collaborated with acclaimed art world figure Ai WeiWei— we were more than expecting an exciting debut of her SS19 collection during London Men’s Fashion Week, which, of course, she delivered.

Given her propensity to proclaim having been raised beside the birthplace of William Shakespeare, we can’t be surprised that her press release, which accurately fit alongside this season’s attire itself, had a heavily poetic air about it.

Levi’s Goes UNDERCOVER

The collection includes nine pieces that draw inspiration from both brands’ rich histories, with reimagined jeans, T-shirts, and trucker jackets which reference UNDERCOVER’s “Exchange” program from its 1998 AW collection and feature embroidered zigzag patterns inspired by their 2003 archives. The Levi’s x UNDERCOVER collection will be available worldwide on January 18th, through Levi.com, the Levi’s App, select Levi’s stores, undercoverism.com, and select UNDERCOVER locations.

Lucila Safdie Unveils SS25: Farewell Princess

Dreaming of royalty is oftentimes commonplace for many little girls growing up. To be a princess is a fantasy that is alluring and magical, and something that we’ve all wanted to be. In her fourth collection, London-based designer Lucila Safdie pays homage to just that. Girlhood is magical, it’s sacred, yet something that is ever fleeting. It’s all swirled together with an effervescent nostalgia and longing for sweetness. Farewell Princess is Safdie’s seal of immortalizing that feeling we all try to bottle up.

Drawing inspiration from the duality of womanhood, the trials and tribulations of coming-of-age, the SS25 collection nods to the sweet femininity while juxtaposing a forceful strength. Safdie’s girl knows she’s destined for more and is willing to do what it takes to get there. Looking to the greats such as Grace Kelly, and Marilyn Monroe, Safdie unveils a collection that calls upon all the young starlets who are next in line for the spotlight.
