Premiere: "Want You (Need You)" by Bell Towers
The video is a psychedelic dream, following a marbled green and orange man steal the show in an otherworldly dance party. According to Tin & Ed, "Want You (Need You)" is about obsession. "For us, an obsession is the dance of compulsion and repulsion between yourself and the object of your obsession, whether it be a person, an experience, an item or yourself," they tell us via email. "The music video depicts the cycle and various stages of obsession as a journey in Bell Towers’ mind.”
Using a motion capture suit, Tin & Ed recorded choreographer Dance Lawyer’s movements and applied it to a 3D scan of Bell Towers’s body. The landscape was then build around the choreography inside a real time game engine. The camera movements were also connected to the choreography, giving a polished finish to a video emiting vibes that are out-of-the-box.
