Vaquera's Fantasy Leaves No Room for Doubt

Vaquera gets encapsulates the feeling of basking in the glory of personal expression. In fact, they know how to turn that notion into high fashion. In their latest Fall/Winter 2022 runway collection, the label’s directors Patric DiCaprio and Bryn Taubensee discovered an exciting balance between creative maturation and youthful frivolity. With puzzling yet profoundly stylish pieces like sci-fi style stretch catsuits layered with frizzy leg warmers, the runway turned into a playground to explore the potential of a fashion world without inhibitions.

In an unexpected move for the New York-based label, Vaquera opted for a Paris Fashion Week presentation this season. While the move may indicate a maturation for DiCaprio and Taubensee’s brand, we remain graced by Vaquera signatures like fantastically proportioned clothing and accessories. Among them are comically sized taffeta scrunchies and oversized cable-knit jumpers that the models could practically swim in. It’s truthfully comforting to see familiar motifs take new shapes within a brand that seems to be on an unstoppable trajectory of provocative innovation.

LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν Continues Bruce Lee’s Legacy Through New Collaboration

LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν has unveiled a collaboration with Bruce Lee Enterprises, released in conjunction with AAPI Heritage Month and the brand’s tenth collection, All Bets Are Off. Long positioned as a foundational influence for founder Hung La, Bruce Lee’s image, philosophy, and self-determined approach to identity have remained embedded within the brand since its inception. Drawing from Lee’s athletic uniforms, 1970s tailoring, and iconic film imagery, the collection merges LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν’s darker visual language with the unmistakable style of the martial arts legend. Key pieces include a reworked version of Lee’s yellow jumpsuit, graphic ringer tees, and accessories informed by archival film materials.

Rather than recreating Bruce Lee through casting, the campaign works directly with his original image archive, using AI-assisted digital manipulation and retouching to place the collection onto Lee himself, collapsing past and present into a new visual interpretation. What emerges is less a retrospective than a continuation, positioning Bruce Lee not simply as inspiration, but as an enduring framework for self-definition, resistance, and image-making within the world of LỰU ĐΑ̣Ν.
