Base Coat Knows Nails

Walking into the Base Coat section of the 57th Street Nordstroms feels like walking into a peaceful pink oasis. Sitting down you aren’t met with the traditional harsh chemical smell of nail salons, but rather a soothing aroma of natural oils that mimics that of a day spa. While they still use classic nail polish remover to clean nails of any residual polish, the rest of the ingredients used are natural, soothing, and protective. Base Coat’s mission is clear, to provide everyone with a nail experience that leaves them feeling healthy from the tips of their fingers to their toes, and they have achieved just that.

FaceGym: Why Your Face Needs Some Exercise

Everyone knows the importance of working out the muscles in your body, but not everyone realizes how important it is to work the muscles in your face. If you are unsure where to start, FaceGym is the place to go. The first of its kind, FaceGym is a unique facial fitness experience that combines specialized exercises and tools to lift and bring life back into some of the most forgotten muscles in your body.

FaceGym is a new skincare movement. With their signature massage techniques including, pinching, whipping strokes, and knuckling, these movements stimulate blood circulation while boosting collagen production and assisting the drainage of built-up lymphatic fluid. I went to the FaceGym at Nordstrom's NYC Flagship store on 57th street in New York City. I have wanted to try FaceGym for some time now; the before and after results are enough to make you want to run, not walk, or get in a workout! I sat down, put on the FaceGym brand sweatband, and got to work. I must admit, it is a bit jarring to have your cheeks whipped and flicked, but once I settled into it, I wish it never ended. I was so excited I failed to take a before picture, but my skin was glowing for days after hitting this gym.

With 11 locations in four different cities — London, Manchester, New York, and Los Angeles — come into a FaceGym studio and let their trainers get to work. It’s one of the most relaxing workouts you’ll ever have. I mean it when I say run, don’t walk, to your nearest FaceGym!

House of Bō Leads with Love and Heritage
