They went into homes in New York, Dakar, Los Angeles, Vienna and beyond to look at how people sat through the pandemic. Through digital portraits, videos and text they explored how people reacted when told to just “sit tight” and wait.
In 2020, sitting became much more than just something we did on the couch. It became social and political work, school, and so much more.
The Act of Sitting book is available for purchase here. The project is on currently view at two separate exhibits in Austria—more details here.
