Paris Georgia, Lately

Congrats on your new London office. How’s the move been?

Thank you, I actually moved a year and a half ago but moving here made so much sense [for the brand]. London’s been quite a natural home for Paris Georgia. It’s given us the mobility to hop on a train with the collection and do sales, and of course work with some incredible creatives to produce some really beautiful imagery.

Speaking of imagery, your new campaign is gorgeous.

That’s so sweet—yeah, we’re really happy with it. We shot it in Paris with Vitali [Gelwich].

So why a footwear line?

Shoes are such a key item in a look, you know? So for us, it’s all about completing the Paris Georgia look.

What advice would you give someone early in their career?

Do what you love in life. If you have the luxury of doing that — because it is a luxury — it’s just so important. When you do what you love, things just naturally flow. I mean, Paris and I, we started Paris Georgia on a whim.

What kind of a whim?

Well, we actually started a vintage store first. We did Paris Georgia on the side with super minimal women’s wear pieces meant to be paired with vintage finds. From there, things just grew and people gravitated toward it until we were picked up by MNZ the showroom — which was such an incredible opportunity for us.

Who inspires you?

Paris and I were raised by the most incredible, strong mothers who both founded and operated their own businesses, which was quite rare at the time. We admired and looked up to them and I think from that, you know, we’ve built this community of strong women. So yeah, definitely our mothers.

Paris Georgia in three words.

Power, strength, and independence.

One wardrobe staple you can’t live without.

At the moment, our Herb trousers which are basically elevated cargo pants. They’ve got that day-to-night vibe where you can wear it with sneakers to make it casual or a wedge for a more elevated look.

Paris Georgia as a shoe.

The Dune Wedge in oxblood. I love the burgundy color with the hardware elements. It’s a sculptural shoe with a padded sole so you can wear it all day. It’s kind’ve like a Paris Georgia dress but in a shoe.
