We're still questioning the News following Matthieu Blazy joining Bottega Veneta

On top of designing for Raf Simmons, Blazy has then gone on to design the ‘Artisanal’ line and Women’s RTW show under Maison Margiela and then worked directly beside Phoebe Philo at Celine. In the long slew of professional accolades and achievements, Blazy found his way to Bottega Veneta in 2020 where he was appointed RTW Design Director. In the midst of all of his experience, it is with great excitement that someone of Blazy’s caliber and knowledge takes hold of a fashion house that has become a staple in luxurious and sleek designs.

When asked about Matthieu Blazy’s latest promotion, Bottega’s CEO Leo Rongone declares, “Matthieu Blazy is an extraordinarily talented individual, whom I am proud and excited to entrust with the creative helm of our luxury House. Bottega Veneta has always been equated with signature craftsmanship and distinctive creativity. Matthieu’s appointment will further enhance the modern relevance of our brand and accelerate our growth while preserving the values that are at the core of Bottega Veneta.” It’s thrilling to see someone who has contributed so much to the fashion industry finally continue a legacy and to take charge behind a house as coveted as Bottega.

Blazy is set to premier his first collection in February 2022.
