VEJA and Magliano Rework the Panenka

There’s something inherently nostalgic about football footwear. The scuffed leather, the folded tongues, the idea that performance and personality once shared the same surface. With its latest collaboration, VEJA taps into that memory and hands it over to Magliano to rework, and make its own.

Drawing from vintage football boots, the silhouette leans into Magliano’s instinct for unconventional tailoring. A folded tongue sits across the upper, referencing classic boots while subtly shifting how the shoe functions and feels. Made from a single perforated piece, the flap introduces asymmetric lacing, turning a familiar detail into something deliberately off-balance.

That sense of play carries through in the styling. There's three sets of interchangeable laces to go with the three different colorways: black with cream accents, white with sharp black contrast, and a pearlescent pink.

Through all of this, the Panenka emerges with a new personality.
