Ann Demeulemeester Unveils Pre-Spring 2026

"Color and texture intertwine, setting the tone of the expression.
Black and white serve as the foundation, not the boundary.
Familiar tones like nude, powder pink, sage, and sand are filtered, distilled,
drawn closer to the house’s chromatic language.
Each shade undergoes a process of saturation, revealing its essence.
Texture deepens the language of color.
Black unfolds in variations — from heavy cottons to brushed surfaces,
from tailored structures to outerwear.
Black-on-black devoré plays with tension: matte and shiny,
floral patterns appearing like whispers.
Stripes re-emerge, reimagined in devoré velvet.
In a play of resistance and release, laminated textures stretch
from stiff satins to fluid silk satins, to froissé velvet.
Delicate patterns inhabit lighter fabrics, from shirting to jersey.
This is not a seasonal proclamation.
It is a patient gesture, in which the house continues to speak its own language —
with a timbre that is clear, not loud."
