What is your ideal office?
My ideal office is a well-organized container… bunker style… but made of aluminum with a soft bed that I can attach to a train wagon, lift on a large truck, or onto a boat… have it travel with me wherever needed.
What do you believe in?
Right now, I don't believe in our civilization anymore. I don't believe in our humanity that doesn't understand our history, learn from our past, and know what we don't want to reproduce. I do believe that women and creative creatures should be the ones organizing our societies. I do believe that only peace should be an answer to success.
If not in Paris, where would you live?
I would live in Cairo.
How do you navigate the space between individuality and belonging?
With tolerance, confidence, and the concept of tribes.
What is your favorite phase of the moon?
Waxing Gibbous.
Can you describe the last dream you had?
I was running after the White Rabbit (from Alice in Wonderland), and I fell into a hole and woke up in sweat.
When do you feel most yourself?
When I am on stage with my band (LAVASCAR) performing Etel Adnan’s ‘Garden of Memory’ poems.
If God were a texture, which texture?
Stone.
What is your most cherished possession?
Memories.
Describe a personal ritual that brings you a sense of peace or balance.
When I have my hands wrapped before putting on the gloves and getting in the ring.
What is your fondest childhood memory?
Raising and giving a bottle to a Kid (baby goat) when I was 4.
If you could live in any fictional world or design your own, what would it be?
As a nomad in a yurt, with lots of jewelry, bare feet, in a dress and turban, army blankets in the sand, very tan, music playing always, and lots of animals around me.
What was the last thing you made?
The last thing I did not make should have been a miracle that brought peace to our world.
