The Female Portrait Series
In order to reduce waste, Rabôt refrains from throwing anything away. Instead, she keeps the fabric scraps to make pillows, face masks, and sleep masks. From color-blocking turtle necks to mesh maxi dresses, Rabôt emphasizes the use of eco-friendly materials such as recycled polyester, cupro, tencel, organic cotton and deadstock fabrics while naturally-dying garments. Founded in 2020, she’s also known for her long-lasting silk shirt and pants sets.
In addition to sustainability, philanthropy is a large part of Rabôt’s creative journey. In October 2020, she hosted a collection preview and art auction to raise money for the California Fire Foundation. Here, Rabôt and over 10 female artists sold various pieces from their brands.
In April 2021, Rabôt created The Rabôt Female Portrait Series in an effort to empower artists, activists, stylists, editors, musicians, photographers, and more through a collection of images. She asks each collaborator to bring a friend who inspires them to be photographed in their homes. Styled in Rabôt pieces, participants are given a chance to tell their stories and how they, as friends, uplift each other. Check out The Rabôt Female Portrait Series below.
