Y-3, by adidas and Yojhi Yamamoto, has announced a cutting-edge addition to their collaborative core collection.

And although this doesn't come as a surprise— it's not just a new sneaker with "sick" style. It's innovation.

True to form, Y-3 is forging ahead, as a forward-thinking force in the fashion industry. And this time, they're taking footwear further than ever into the future, with the first ever sneaker to incorporate Digital Light Synthesis Technology. Whatever that is— we still don't fully get it. But that's irrelevant— we trust these guys.

Limited to only 200 pairs releasing through select retailers on February 23, the shoe utilizes oxygen, light, and a programmable liquid resin to create a unique high-performance experience.

Parley x Adidas Releasing Sneaker Made From Ocean Plastic

In mid-November, adidas is releasing an innovative new shoe designed to save the sea. The athletic behemoth has teamed up with conservation organization Parley for the Oceans to create the UltraBOOST Uncaged Parley, which, according to the press release, is the first mass-produced footwear created using Parley Ocean Plastic. Said plastic comes from Parley's clean-up efforts in the Maldives, and each pair of shoes reuses 11 water bottles. At a time when our oceans are more polluted than ever, it's exciting to see such a large company wholeheartedly embrace environmental causes.
