Gentle Monster, est. 2011, strives for creative high-end experimentation of product, design, campaign, and service. “Each pair of sunglasses embodies a duality of being”, which is present in each one of us. They’re attempting to emphasize the liminal space between “playfulness and elegance, delicacy and destruction, past and future…” Marine Serre’s sensibility comes through in both pairs from “VISIONIZER” in their couture sportswear references. The high-end cult brand seeks a critical Eco futurist approach, which suits Gentle Monster’s mission.

In conjunction with Black History Month, Vans' "Foot the Bill" initiative will spotlight three Black-owned businesses each week of February to direct consumers across the US to these businesses.
A direct statement from Vans to enhance the message of their stance with Black History month: “Vans remains committed to continuously uplifting the voices of marginalized communities, the partnership with these four unique artists reinforces the powerful role self-expression plays in drawing awareness to the diverse representation of creativity brought to life.”
