Closing out MFW, a brand not typically recognized as Italian played up its roots in a show that served as an homage to the country it calls home. FILA, the sportswear company born in Biella, Italy in 1911, served up a show that was crisp and fun. The somewhat minimal collection was presented in monochromatic fashion, replete with clean lines and utilitarian features that provided an airy version of form-meets-function.

For the love of sport, FILA delivered a stylish take on tennis silhouettes, bouncy skirts that go on or off the court, coupled with an on-the-go attitude. Sleek minimalism defined the clothing, but provided enough of a foundation to build a life filled with athleisure dreams.

Honoring its athletic history, the show featured prominent tropes of sport, car culture and neo-futurism. Alongside the collection that somehow felt essentially Italian, a company that has historically produced technical sportswear “gear” transformed its brand image into a cool-kid revival, with understated designs that are rooted in of-the-moment trends.

Long red latex coats, fresh white bucket hats and visors were paired with logo merch felt like nostalgic throwbacks to vintage FILA-wear. Casual suits and blazers were layered over FILA sweatshirts your parents used to wear, making the high-low mix an urban necessity.

Dr. Martens x MM6 Maison Margiela reveal their first capsule collection

Dr. Martens and MM6 Maison Margiela have teamed up for the first time to launch a Fall/Winter capsule collection that reinvents classic footwear with a fresh twist. The collection combines four iconic Dr. Martens styles—the 1460 and 1490 boots, the 1461 shoe, and the Penton loafer—into three unique hybrid designs, each with MM6’s special touch.

Revealed at MM6 Maison Margiela’s AW24 show, these designs mix familiar Dr. Martens silhouettes in surprising ways, adding bold new details. Each piece has Dr. Martens’ signature yellow stitching and AirWair heel loop, along with MM6’s unique numbered imprint.

The Dr. Martens x MM6 Maison Margiela collection launches November 19 on both brands’ websites, in select MM6 stores, and at limited retailers.
