Sergio Tacchini Men's A/W '20

Sure, it can be pretty exciting to spectate a tennis match between bobbing your head to watch the players volley and the unknown variable of the outcome. But beyond that, there is something so utterly aesthetically pleasing about observing the shapes that players create while operating on the court—and it takes a special set of eyes to catch the movements just right.

Entitled “Impossible Angle,” Sergio Tacchini’s A/W ‘20 collection offers a fresh spin-serve on the brand’s usual perspectives on activewear, not only building upon the various shapes and forms inspired by movement, but also on Tacchini himself, a tennis player-turned-designer. Since July 2019, Public School co-founder Dao-Yi Chow has been serving as the Creative Director for Sergio Tacchini, and the latest lifestyle and activewear collection is representative of Chow’s larger vision for the brand.

Lobbing it a step further, the collection utilizes nostalgic color-blocking while incorporating tennis staples like white socks, sweatbands and slipovers with an added homage to the era of ‘80’s American hip-hop. Models even sported track pants and tracksuits under college jackets accompanied by trainers.

The A/W ‘20 collection debuted in Florence, and the show placed heavy emphasis on expressing the company’s inspiration through music. Resultedly, the playlist for the presentation decade-hopped from the ‘60s onward.

Dr. Martens x MM6 Maison Margiela reveal their first capsule collection

Dr. Martens and MM6 Maison Margiela have teamed up for the first time to launch a Fall/Winter capsule collection that reinvents classic footwear with a fresh twist. The collection combines four iconic Dr. Martens styles—the 1460 and 1490 boots, the 1461 shoe, and the Penton loafer—into three unique hybrid designs, each with MM6’s special touch.

Revealed at MM6 Maison Margiela’s AW24 show, these designs mix familiar Dr. Martens silhouettes in surprising ways, adding bold new details. Each piece has Dr. Martens’ signature yellow stitching and AirWair heel loop, along with MM6’s unique numbered imprint.

The Dr. Martens x MM6 Maison Margiela collection launches November 19 on both brands’ websites, in select MM6 stores, and at limited retailers.
