CASSIE— Hi. How are you doing? Thanks for chatting a little bit today.

TYSHAWN— Of course. Thanks for having me.

How are you doing today? How's your Miami day so far?

I'm chilling. I'm fine. Just hanging out, going to meetings and stuff, enjoying the heat.

How was the stunt that you performed with Toto today like?

It was cool. It was fun. Skated and met up with Toto. He's a really nice guy, super normal. Not in a bad way, but sometimes you meet people with status and stuff and they're not nice people, or whatever. He was just super cool and regular. And then he tried to skateboard.

Haha, really?

He let me drive the car, so it was fun. It was like hanging with the homie.

Have you worked with him before?

No, that was my first time meeting him really.

How was he at skating?

He was decent. He said he skated 30 years ago, so he wasn't bad for someone who hasn't skated in three decades.

And how were you at driving?

Oh, I'm a pro.

What do you think are some of the similarities between skating and F1 if there are any?

I think the similarities are the determination factor, the patience, and the drive. Same thing with skateboarding. If you want to learn, you have to be patient and persistent enough to keep going. I'm sure it's the same thing with this. Obviously from what I do know about F1, they start really young and that's a persistent thing in itself. And just being dedicated to start a sport from so young to being in your twenties.

Have you been out at F1 before?

No, never been before. It's my first one.

How are you liking it?

I literally just walked in, but it seems cool. There's a lot of people here, so it's cool to see a different culture that I'm not necessarily too familiar with. Obviously everyone has an appreciation for it, so I'm excited to see why everybody wants to come out and see it.

What's it been like with your partnership with adidas so far?

My adidas partnership has been great. We've had a lot of great experiences. It's been over a decade, so that's great that we've been able to do business for such a long time and it's gone well. We've created silhouettes, shoes and clothes and campaigns that all have turned out well. I'm excited to see what we could keep creating.

What have been some standout moments over the years?

They took me to London for the first time when I first got on the team, and that was my first trip out of the country with them. I got to meet all the guys, I was young, 15 or something. Then obviously getting my first shoe in 2019 and I got a new shoe last year in 2024. So I got two silhouettes with them.

Is there anything exciting coming up that you want to talk about?

Just skating. I'm just really in love with skating right now. I feel like a kid again, skating every day, filming tricks, traveling around the world, different states, different countries. It's super fun to be fully invested in skating again, because skating got me to where I am.
