Michael Rider made his debut at CELINE this past Sunday in Paris for the printemps 2026 collection. The show was held at 16 rue Vivienne, CELINE'S atelier; a perfect site to initiate the luxury house's new era.

Rider states that "coming back to CELINE, and to Paris, back to 16 rue Vivienne in a changed world, has been incredibly emotional for me. And a complete joy."

Stacked, chunky gold jewelery, hardware, and wide belt buckles erupted from classic silohuettes, blazers, button-ups, and trench coats. Rider explains that "CELINE stands for quality, for timelessness and for style, ideals that are difficult to catch, and even harder to hold on to, to define, despite more and more talk about them out there. We worked on translating them into a way of dressing – that attitude, or attitudes, that we feel describe who we are and what we stand for."

This fusing of new and old solidifies CELINE'S ability to be timeless, as it invites new compositional explorations, the desire to be preppy but playful, all while remaining true to what CELINE has always been about. On his desire to create and maintain a legacy, Rider says that "I’ve always loved the idea of clothing that lives on, that becomes a part of the wearer’s life, that may capture a moment in time but also speaks to years and years of gestures and occasions and change, of the past, the present and the future, of memories, of usefulness and of fantasy, of life really."

This re-calibration of something classic is present not only in Rider's approach to the garments, but also in CELINE'S new Michael Rider fueled era as a whole.

Fabian Kis-Juhasz: The idea of constructed intimacy

The Hungarian fashion designer Fabian Kis-Juhasz unveils his new campaign: "The collection is an iteration of the recurring themes, concepts and techniques that I keep going back to. I liked the idea of intimacy being constructed through tension, and how this is echoed in the construction of the garments. None of the lines and cutouts are traditional and in that way they feel almost random, but everything is engineered and nothing is by chance. I also like the push-pull between the jersey and athletic pieces and the more structured and controlled ones."

"When I pitched the collection to Bella she really liked it, but we never really went into details about what it means. I think it was just a very organic match. She came up with the idea of shooting with the bunnies and I immediately said yes. The references her idea conjured up, the colours of easter, the symbol of the egg, the Lewis Carroll of it all just felt so perfect. I also loved that she proposed them as self portraits. I feel like it harkened back to this idea of constructed intimacy."

The Competition Drop from New Amsterdam Surf Association

The latest drop from New Amsterdam Surf Association captures that innate feeling of competition. Last minute calls, travelling with a surfboard that doubles as a suitcase, and rivalries that seem friendly but aren’t. The campaign ignites that feeling you get in your stomach right before go-time, tapping into the look and feel of the everyday surf contest.

The film takes us inside a classic looker room setting, a room that those who have competed in any sport know all too well – especially those who come from football. A disappointed team is being yelled at by their coach, urging them to dig deep to make it through to the second round of the tournament. In the end it becomes clear it’s about a surf team instead of football.

The typical surf attire worn during competitions is covered in sponsor logos. For this drop, New Amsterdam Surf Association sourced logos from old surfboard shapers, found on eBay through forgotten business cards.

The standout styles from the drop include a top that combines elements of surf competition lycra and a football kit. There's a pair of shorts in a jacquard poly with different techniques of artworks, and a track jacket inspired by football managers in the 90s. The collection is accompanied by some graphic pieces and a line of easy to wear swim shorts that can be used for land or sea.

Armani/Archivio: Eli Russell Linnetz's Approach

For the second chapter of Armani/Archivio, a project dedicated to preserving and reinterpreting the House's heritage, the American artist, designer and filmmaker Eli Russell Linnetz was chosen. Linnetz styled and photographed the campaign, drawing inspiration from Giorgio Armani’s collections of 1979 to 1994.

Eli Russell Linnetz explains:“Mr. Armani is one of the greatest artists of our time. He changed the way we live our lives every day and what we aspire to become, and his legacy is something the rest of us are still learning from. These archivio pieces feel as alive today as the day they were made because he designed his work to be eternally impactful — deceivingly simple on the hanger, the clothes transform on the body, like magic. As a designer, to handle these garments and understand how they were made has been both a great education and a gift, and to photograph them, as part of the long lineage of photographers who have been part of the Armani universe, was a privilege I will carry with me for a very long time.”
