Beneath the Roots of "The Denim Boke Flower" by Nigo

Spring is here, and Kenzo’s latest floral-inspired collection is in full bloom. For their third limited-edition drop of SS22, the French fashion label is all about denim, all the time. Crafted by Creative Director Nigo, "The Denim Boke Flower" collection reflects the shared Japanese heritage between both the brand and the designer himself. Combining Nigo’s signature blue jean design staples with a selection of delicate boke flower embroideries, the capsule celebrates classic Japanese tradition through casual denim-on-denim cool.

The boke — an iconic Japanese flower known to blossom in February — is the perfect emblem to commemorate the roots beneath Kenzo and Nigo’s collaboration. Its bright red petals flourish against the collection’s otherwise simplistic palette of off-white, black, and blue. The boke flower embroidery gives new life to an assortment of wardrobe staples, transforming familiar items into a fresh bouquet of blue jeans, t-shirts, and button-downs.

Levi’s Goes UNDERCOVER

The collection includes nine pieces that draw inspiration from both brands’ rich histories, with reimagined jeans, T-shirts, and trucker jackets which reference UNDERCOVER’s “Exchange” program from its 1998 AW collection and feature embroidered zigzag patterns inspired by their 2003 archives. The Levi’s x UNDERCOVER collection will be available worldwide on January 18th, through Levi.com, the Levi’s App, select Levi’s stores, undercoverism.com, and select UNDERCOVER locations.
