Leaving Marigot: Olivier Rogers SS27

For Spring/Summer 2027, Olivier Rogers presents Leaving Marigot, a collection shaped by family, memory, Caribbean culture, and identity. Named after Marigot, Saint Martin, where Olivier was born, the collection draws on the places and people that shaped his understanding of style, connecting his Caribbean roots with his upbringing in Brooklyn.

Although he did not grow up in Saint Martin, Rogers spent part of his childhood on the island, where he noticed the understated way the men around him dressed: clean, fitted, simple, and intentional. His father, an electrician with a strong sense of style, became an early influence through his polo shirts with popped collars, track jackets, fitted vintage denim, and dress shoes. Photographs of his father as a young man, safely stored in his grandparents’ home, continue to inform Rogers’ approach to design.

His mother instilled a similar approach to dressing, teaching him that presenting yourself well was a way of earning respect. Leaving Marigot brings these influences together, connecting Marigot and Flatbush through a wardrobe that feels both familiar and personal. One of the collection’s most significant pieces is a red, white, and blue track jacket inspired by a photograph of Rogers’ father at around 18 or 19 years old. Referencing the colors of Saint Martin, the look is recreated through a matching track jacket and pants, while the campaign features a model reenacting the picture.

Colorful button holes bring a playful touch to matching blazers and trousers, while bright T-shirts, football-inspired track jackets, and denim draw from different parts of Rogers’ upbringing. Across the collection, familiar wardrobe staples are reworked through unexpected details and a considered approach to construction and color.

With Leaving Marigot, Rogers turns family history and cultural memory into a design language of his own, offering a collection that is as much about where he comes from as what he chooses to make of it.

Advisry’s “America, Still” Looks at a Nation on the Edge

Advisry returned to New York Fashion Week with America, Still, a collection by designer Keith Herron that examines the current state of the nation through the lens of 50 years ago. Narrated by the voice of James Baldwin from 1969, the show unfolded across three acts, moving from reaction to dignity and, ultimately, transformation.

Herron’s latest collection documented the tensions of a country approaching its limits, exploring the characters that emerge in moments of collapse; those who react, those who cope, and those who transcend.

On the runway, sequined basketball shorts and evening gowns came together in a collection that moved between sportswear and the more theatrical dressing that we’ve come to know. The brand’s familiar hand-shaped pockets brought a nice detail to the collection while furry gloves and pearl masks covering the models’ faces offered something more surreal to the looks.

Accessories played an important role, too, with models carrying beautiful bags that stood out alongside the clothing. Across the collection, familiar American references were reworked through Advisry’s distinctive approach to craft, sartorial precision, and cultural storytelling. Casualwear, formalwear, and exaggerated accessories existed side by side, bringing a sense of contrast to the collection without feeling out of place.

Founded in 2014, Advisry has grown from Herron’s teenage project into an established New York fashion house. With America, Still, the brand continued that approach, using clothing as a means of examining the cultural and social pressures of now while looking to the past for context.

Ella Mae’s SS27 Debut Is A Pink-Clad Rebellion

Ella Mae made her NYFW debut with PEACE ON EARTH !!, a collection where rococo romance meets early-2000s maximalism. The Spring/Summer 2027 collection straddles the line between pretty and punk. Silk taffeta, ruffles, rebellious graphics, and feathers came together in a wardrobe fit for her hot girl army. Clearly, the Ella Mae girl is unapologetically feminine and bold.

Founded in Los Angeles in 2021, Ella Mae Jepsen's brand blends her background in quilting and apparel design with her passion for sustainability. Behind the collection’s candy-colored surface is Jepsen's deep love for protecting the earth and for making clothes by hand. Working with deadstock and natural fibers and experimenting with dyes made from materials like rust, botanicals, and food waste, Jepsen is becoming a defiant innovator in the fashion space. PEACE ON EARTH !! is a call to action wrapped up in a pretty pink bow. As Jepsen puts it: protect the earth, because it’s the only place you can buy lipstick.

KEEN and Collina Strada Reimagine Outdoor Footwear for SS27

More than 400 guests traded the city for the Hudson Valley, boarding shuttles to Storm King for Collina Strada’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, staged among the sprawling fields and sculptures. Against the natural backdrop, the New York label’s signature cast of characters walked in styles from its latest collaboration with KEEN, bringing the footwear brand’s outdoor DNA into Collina Strada’s playful, punky world.

Following their initial partnership in February, KEEN and Collina Strada returned to the New York Fashion Week runway with a new collection that reimagines two of the footwear brand’s signature styles: the Newport and UNEEK. This time, open-air footwear takes center stage, with Hillary Taymour’s distinctive approach to design bringing unexpected details, feminine touches, and a sense of whimsy to familiar outdoor silhouettes.

“I’ve always been interested in the idea of taking something familiar and making it slightly strange,” Taymour says. “For SS27, I wanted the shoes to feel almost like they had been customized by a maximalist; charms on ballerinas, ruffles on sandals, little details that make them feel sentimental and a bit absurd. It’s about making dressing up feel fun again.”

Balancing the collection’s more expressive details is KEEN’s focus on comfort and durability, keeping the styles rooted in the practical qualities of outdoor footwear. The collaboration continues to blur the boundaries between performance and self-expression, bringing a new perspective to the way functional footwear fits into everyday dressing.
