Saks Potts S/S '20

For the Saks Potts S/S '20 collection, designer duo Barbara Potts and Cathrine Saks bestowed upon the runway a parade of thematic, bejeweled, dazzling garments. Drawing upon inspiration from spaghetti westerns with a dash of Latin Tango and Disco motifs sprinkled in between, Saks Potts closed out the last day of CPHFW with a show to remember.

All in all the clothes were eye-catching (to say the least), with their rhinestone decals and colored stone accruements. Models donned accessories of folding fans and heart-shaped pendant necklaces, deepening the overly-decorative aesthetic of the show itself.

The enmeshment of these themes created an atmosphere of mirthful light-heartedness, turning the runway into an exhilarating costume performance. The Copenhagen-based brand emerged into fashion spotlight due to their colorful fur outerwear, but their S/S '20 show has proven once and for all that this brand can tackle any aesthetic and make it their own.

Escaping the Glass Cage
