While nothing new comes of many "culture meeting classic" efforts, this line was thoughtful in avoiding an agressively opinionated take on the theme. With respectful references that treat tradition to today's artful aesthetics— an offering avoiding appropiating— Snow Xue Gao gives us someone new to take note of.

The collection includes nine pieces that draw inspiration from both brands’ rich histories, with reimagined jeans, T-shirts, and trucker jackets which reference UNDERCOVER’s “Exchange” program from its 1998 AW collection and feature embroidered zigzag patterns inspired by their 2003 archives. The Levi’s x UNDERCOVER collection will be available worldwide on January 18th, through Levi.com, the Levi’s App, select Levi’s stores, undercoverism.com, and select UNDERCOVER locations.
