Balancing glamour with rebellion, Carson Lovett fuses history, bohemia, and street culture to create whimsical yet ironically eclectic designs. His new AW ‘25 collection, L.A Winter, under his label LOVETT was inspired by the “thrift-centric” essence of all-American fashion, and released earlier this week. Echoing L.A. Winter’s mantra —“A culture preserved is no culture at all”— the collection plays with dissonance, juxtaposing varsity jackets reimagined as skirts and dresses, bandage dresses adorned with playful bows, and sports stripes running from hip to floor. Monogrammed foil clashes with daisy embroideries, peace signs, and irreverent slogans like “BAE,” “LIVE LAUGH LOVETT,” and “I’M NOT GAY, I’M FRENCH.” With its ironic embrace of glamour and out-of-place beauty, LOVETT’s AW ‘25 collection is designed for the city girl who lives multiple lives.
