Vaquera S/S '20

Vaquera harkened back to their roots for S/S ’20. Joining forces with Section 8, Creatures of the Wind and CDLM, with a collection called “In Loving Memory of New York”, the show leaned into the various disappointments that accompany pursuing fashion in the city.

The designers worked from their own experiences being let down and feeling out of sorts with the industry. A handful of this season’s looks are explicitly sardonic, like the drama funeral gown accompanied by a black veil and velour stuffed roses, and the giant, frilly pink and red Valentine’s Day heart bodysuit.

Oversized, deconstructed and recontextualized garments make up much of the rest of this season, with a pair of supersize periwinkle pants flopping up the runway as its own full look and a floor-length pearl necklace swinging off its model’s neck like a 40-pound gold medallion.

Reimagining the bold sneaker and juxtaposing it against Brooklyn’s city scape, we play into warm furs and striking fishnets all set against the newly iconic bright blue of the shoe. GUCCI SS25: Where the Light Finds Us

There is a dreamlike limbo between movement and stillness, between light and shadow. This precise yet indefinable space is what GUCCI’s new Spring/Summer 2025 campaign Where the Light Finds Us explores. It tells the story of two souls meeting in a suspended moment, exchanging fragments of emotions and subtle gestures in an interplay of light and shadow, offering a glimpse into the essence of the collection. Challenging the boundaries between simplicity and complexity, the new collection features lightweight fabrics intertwined with structured silhouettes and unexpected touches of color that blur the line between the real and the imaginary.
