A Culinary Celebration of Pride

Seated beside an old office friend Luar Designer Rual Lopez, we feasted on everything from the not-to-miss veal hearts to macerated strawberries atop olive oil cake. Supplied with Yola Mezcal cocktails, a portion of profits from which went to The Ali Forney Center, we were entertained by NO BAR's part-time bartender who proved to also be a highly skilled part-time saxophonist and singer, Grant Rossi.

The week continues with programming by The Soapbox Presents, featuring this upcoming Sunday’s “Queens of the South, a queer brunch celebration,” where queer chefs Woldy Reyes, of Woldy Kusina, and Tony Ortiz, of Chile Con Miel, will join Eric in the kitchen accompanied by a curated soundtrack from DJ Wavy Fox, live music, and drag performances to conclude the week long festivities of New York City Pride. The ultimate mash-up of East Village and Crown Heights set in the frisky, anything-goes atmosphere at No Bar, the week-long pop-up is a hot ticket for Pride week and an uplifting of community.
