Louis Vuitton's Dreamhouse was Limitless

Louis Dreamhouse was just that; a baby blue runway with a house snuggled in the center of the runway. The set  highlighted the vibrant colors and silhouettes present in this collection, making the pieces a spectacle infront of the heaven-like background. Abloh never feared away from making the iconic Louis Vuitton brand his own, with unique styling, materials, and shapes. This sense of innovation and individuality was at the forefront of this show. From jewel-toned suits and sportswear to paint can purses and luggage that gave off a Dali-esque feel in their shape. In this appearance, this collection, like all of Alblohs work, proved that one should never shy away from pushing the limit on what might seem possible.

Although this was a show for Louis Vuitton Mens, this collection was not limited to classic menswear pieces. White tulle skirts, lacewings, and fabulous white trench coats made their way into the mix well, playing with typical clothing gender norms. The masculine energy melded with the feminine, creating a harmonious amalgamation of style and beauty. Never one to shy away from symbolism, this show brought viewers back to the beginning of Abloh’s journey. Louis Dreamhouse was a fitting send-off for a man who will go down in history as someone who was never afraid to honor himself, his dreams, and most importantly, his community.
