Uyi Drops Roadman Anthem 'Sticky One Styll'

If you've been online lately, chances are you've seen Uyi in full roadman mode. Inspired by the U.K. cult hit show Top Boy, Uyi has taken the character from screen to real life — and now he’s bringing it to his latest music drop, ‘Sticky One Styll’.

For the past month or so, Uyi's been teasing the single to his followers, and the response had been unmatched. The whole concept? Uyi’s pointing out how British actors keep crossing the pond and taking roles in Hollywood. Now, he wants to reverse it. As an American, he's setting his sights on the U.K., making his own mark on their turf. That’s where ‘Sticky One Styll’ comes in — part music video, part performance art, part social commentary.

The video, dropping in full today, is pure Uyi — he’s behind the direction, the music, the writing, the whole thing. It’s chaotic, smart, and super self-aware. And if you’re wondering how far he’s taking the character? Let’s just say he showed up to a Lacoste event in roadman attire and fully in character. The Cut even named him Best Dressed of the Week. Not bad for a full tracksuit look.

Head to toe in Nike Tech, Uyi has got the UK persona down to a science, with some in the comments even speculating that he is really a Brit posing as an American. Perhaps they’re right?
