Daniel Lee Puts the Brit Back in Burberry

Hotly anticipated, the show we were all waiting for came and delivered— Daniel Lee's first collection for Burberry. Possibly the star moment of London Fashion week, Lee brought London to, well, London with a presentation that channeled the history of the British heritage label. The former helm of Bottega Veneta, renowned for reviving the Italian house, has maintained his proven ability to reshape the past.

Held in a late 19th century Burberry tent at Kennington Park, the show felt in agreement with the brand's historical references to the outdoors. Under the tent’s protection from London weather, guests including Martine Rose, Shygirl and Skepta bore witness to the national threads of pleated tartan kilts, check patterns, and reuniform of Equestrian Knight Design.

Lee's Burberry brought us back to 1909 with a return to the Burberry Prorsum logo, on more simple garments, like dresses, and cleverly tucked between more checkered motifs. As for the iconic Burberry trench coat, Lee opted for an oversized fit with faux fur-trimmed lapels to accompany aran and argyle jumpers as well as a new motif, the English rose. Lee's new iteration is not only pristine but also functional. He amplied sneakers with sturdy colored saddle bags and satchels, and equestrian-style rubber rain boots for journeying into the murky outdoors. Toward the end of the show, with the edgier, more punk-inspired styles, we couldn't help but see it as a possible nod to the legend, the late Vivienne Westwood.

Téla D’Amore and Jordan Brand Launch a New Sneaker Collab

Starting off December on the right foot, Jordan Brand teamed up with cultural visionary Téla to create a fresh addition to its brand. As a co-founder of Who Decides War, Téla is constantly focused on finding innovative ways to blend luxury and streetwear. The Jordan Brand Flight Court x Téla pulls inspiration from skateboarding and basketball as well, resulting in a shoe meant for any occasion.

With its debut on December 5th, the collaboration is marked by its mix of Jumpman DNA and distressed elements. Who Decides War’s signature darning technique can be seen throughout the black, Off Noir, and Varsity Red shoe. You can even choose which logo to display while wearing them, enhancing the convergence of these two worlds.

office and Miista Join Forces for an Evening of Invigorating Conversation

On one of New York's rainiest fall nights, office and Miista paired up to bring together a variety of women paving their way in the creative industry. The guests drank wine and enjoyed a culinary experience orchestrated by Magdalena O'Neal, while a playlist curated by Lucy McFadin set the mood. Providing an escape from the storm raging outstide, Miista's store became a warm glimpse into the world of fashionable women and captivating conversation.

The conversation, led by office's Cassie Jekanoski, was centered around navigating today's creative industry while bringing hope and joy to the craft. Smiles were exchanged and laughs echoed the walls as the guests got real about their takes on creativity, collaboration, and individuality. Meanwhile, bright flames reflected on the Orchard Street storefront as the culinary team grilled outside.
