Odds are, you’ve probably heard of Ben Bloomstein’s Green River Project. And on the off chance that you haven’t, here’s a quick rundown. The Green River Project was founded by Aaron Aujla and Benjamin Bloomstein back in 2017. Prided on a research-based approach to building furniture and interiors, the artists have made their mark through their highly unique and sustainable craft.

This season, Bode explores the relationship between alternative education, agricultural communities, and sustainability through the developmental years of Bloomstein. Putting accountability and sustainability at the forefront of its F/W ‘20 collection, Bode featured a highly representative show. To name just a few, there were overcoats and suits composed of reclaimed equine show blankets, Jacquard knit pullovers, rugby shorts, and joggers composed of 100% traceable and certified Merino wool inspired by stitch samples from a retired 1930s knitting factory, and The Bode House Shoe made from 100% recyclable hemp-based shoe from France.

As models walked amongst Bloomstein’s-created set composed of wood from Ash trees that were cut down by beavers on a tributary of the Green River, the artist’s impact and adoption in Bode’s F/W ‘20 show felt entirely omnipresent.

Pulling inspiration from Dan Colen’s 'Moments like This,' Courrèges Fall Winter Collection is filled to the brim with eye-catching silhouettes and eclectic textures. The brand is known for its emphasis on positivity and approaches the runway with the hope of uniting its wearers. For this collection, the event served as a safe space promoting a sense of joy and togetherness for those in attendance.

Classic pieces such as the trapeze mini and the tank top were reworked and invested with a fresh sense of celebration. Bending the classic silhouettes, the ensembles were filled with asymmetry and slanted angels while still managing to maintain a balance between the old and new. Nicolas Di Felice and scenography director Remy Brière collaborated to create an explosion of multicolored confetti as everyday staples were reimagined in a new context.

Natasha Zinko’s AW25 Collection: BOTCHED

Natasha Zinko’s AW25 collection, BOTCHED, takes fashion apart and rebuilds it in bold, unexpected ways. Classic pieces are stretched and reshaped into something entirely new. Pinstripe suits mix with corsets, oversized hoodies zip into tight tank tops, and boxer briefs transform into elegant skirts. Nothing is as it seems.

The collection embraces upcycling, using old fabrics to create fresh designs. Clothes are flipped inside out, stacked, and pieced together with unusual details such as extra sleeves and uneven hems. Some outfits are tight in one place and oversized in another, creating a playful contrast.

With BOTCHED, Natascha Zinko challenges traditional fashion rules. The collection reflects a world that feels messy and unpredictable, proving that imperfection can be beautiful.
