Amiri Basks in Hometown Glory for FW22 Collection

While many designers travel far and wide in search of inspiration and appeal, Mike Amiri brought us back home this week. In a recent move away from Parisian runways, Amiri unveiled his namesake label’s Fall/Winter 2022 with an in-person show in its hometown of Los Angeles. The move is indicative of a keen self-awareness on the part of Amiri, who pays homage to the city that made him alongside artist and collaborator Wes Lang. Although designers across Europe, and beyond, may try to emulate the chic, relaxed cool of California style, Amiri proves that the sauce just won’t taste the same with his authentic interpretation. All the while cementing his place as one of the most influential menswear designers in America.

A celebrity-studded front row welcomed the collection with enthusiasm, including Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, Usher, Gunna, and Angus Cloud. The turnout for Amiri’s showcase perfectly reflects his MVP designer status among the Hollywood glitterati. While the popularity of the label among celebrity fans surely doesn't hurt, the designs themselves speak in volumes. Featuring a conceptual shift towards more versatile and tailored wears, the collection unveils new depths within Amiri’s capabilities.

Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 25 Menswear by Pharrell Williams

Louis Vuitton takes us on a journey that embarks on a cross-continental cruise from Paris to Miami, seeing the journey as the destination. From cast-off, through the voyage to the formal arrival this collection traces the recreational routes of the dandy dressing core to the House Men's proposal through a contemporary lens. For the modern traveler who vacations via yacht and sports car, respects tradition, as well as the evolution of dress codes.

In its transition across the sea, it illustrates the LVERS philosophy at the heart of the Louis Vuitton Studio Prêt-à-Porter Homme binding together its values and global community from Paris to Miami and everywhere in between. Through these chapters, we explore Dandy downtime, The voyage and The destination.

The Cruise to Resort adapts dandy's voyage from the sea to the sand, saluting tailoring and classic sportswear through the transit wardrobe. In the second chapter, the arrival wardrobe gets ready for the beach and pool culture that Miami is known for. Taking inspiration from naval codes and the textures of plush ship's interiors, Jazz Age silhouettes are revitalised within this collection.
