Iceage "The Day the Music Dies"
The final single before the album’s release, “The Day the Music Dies,” is driving and rhythmic while showcasing vocalist Elias Rønnenfel’s somber poetic lyrics, paired with extra instrumentalization via horns and strings. The music video itself feels like a cleaner version of Iceage’s past.
For the most part, the video takes place in a candle-lit church while Rønnenfel is literally preaching in a pulpit while the band plays in the background, which, oddly enough, feels exactly like where they belong. In other words, they look like the bad-boy boyband they are— less JT, more Jim Jones. Weclome to 2018.
